At Mosquito Shield of Southern NJ, owner Jon Steward is committed to delivering the highest-quality mosquito and tick control throughout South Jersey. Since 2013, Mosquito Shield has proudly served Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Salem, and parts of Mercer Counties.
Gloucester County has been home to Jon’s family for generations. He and his wife of 31 years, Robin, raised their three children in Woolwich Township and now reside in West Deptford. They love hiking the trails of Wenonah and Maurice Bluffs, relaxing at Raccoon Valley Swim Club in Mullica Hill, and enjoying live outdoor music. The Stewards cherish Southern New Jersey’s unique quality of life—from grabbing a bite at Classy Cow Food Joint to soaking in the arts at the Barnes Foundation and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. When heading down the Shore, Cape May is their go-to destination.
For Jon, Mosquito Shield is more than just a business—it’s a mission to help families enjoy their outdoor spaces without worry, interruption, or the nuisance and risks of mosquitoes and ticks.
Backed by a loyal team of seasonal technicians—with an average of over four seasons of experience—and guided by values like integrity, compassion, and community, Jon ensures his team delivers consistent results, warm service, and proactive communication. With a lifelong background in customer service, he brings genuine care to every interaction.
Jon and his brother, Jim, also own Mr. Handyman of Woodstown, Swedesboro, and Sewell, providing premium home repair and improvement services—further reflecting their shared passion for helping people feel safer and more comfortable in their homes.
Joe grew up in Pittsgrove Township NJ and is the youngest of 4, 1 brother and two sisters. Joe currently lives in Woodstown with his wife Laura, dog Sherman and two black cats Oliver and Jenny. Joe started his career at Mosquito Shield of Southern NJ in February 2016 and has worked his way up to Operations Manager in those 9 years. In his off-time Joe loves to fish, hike and work on home projects. Joe constantly strives to learn, from obtaining multiple certifications in the pest control community to continuing to evolve, train and educate new and returning Technicians.
David brings over 15 years of experience in customer service and sales, with a focus in the pest control industry in recent years. This is David’s fourth year with Mosquito Shield of Southern NJ. He lives with his wife and 3 children. Outside of work, David is committed to maintaining an active lifestyle and values quality time with his family. Originally from North Jersey, he currently resides in Cinnaminson.
Sky has a background in general pest control as a previous technician. In her spare time, Sky enjoys going hiking and quad-ing with her fiancé and dogs. Sky lives in Williamstown.
