We’re the only company in the industry that reacts to mosquito behavior. Without a set schedule, we can adapt to your yard's needs and the mosquitoes around it.
On average, we visit every 10-17 days to ensure a mosquito-free lifestyle.
Our special blend began 20 years ago and we continually evolve it to maximize effectiveness.
Science created our formula, and science continues to adapt it so it remains the most effective spray in the game.
All of our technicians are trained in environmentally smart practices. They target active mosquito areas and are taught the signs to recognize them.
This means less overall spraying, more dead mosquitoes, and a healthy ecosystem in your backyard.
If you’re not happy with our services, let us know. We’ll work hard to make it right, including offering a service call spray if needed.
If you’re unhappy with the results after your first visit, simply notify us within 7 days and we will issue you a full refund.
At Mosquito Shield of West Knoxville, our goal is to provide the best mosquito control with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers to enjoy your homes and time with family to the fullest.
The West Knoxville location team will initially be owner Nathan Lefebvre and Bill Robbins. Nathan has lived in the Knoxville area for over 30 years, while Bill was born and raised in the Knoxville area. They both work together on Nathans other business, Forensic Training Source.
Nathan moved to the Knoxville area when he was 16 years old. Initially, he wanted nothing more than to return to Michigan where he had grown up. However, by the time he had graduated with his master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee, he realized that East Tennessee had become home. Few places offer so many lakes within an hour’s drive or the most visited (and free) National Park in the United States. Interestingly enough, he had heard that Knoxville is within 500 miles of 50% of the population of the US. Whether this fact is still true or not, for Nathan, as an avid road tripper, Knoxville has proven to be the perfect home and starting point for all his adventures.
Nathan has always been drawn to work that involves serving people. When he first graduated, he spent three years as a fourth-grade teacher in a rural school district just outside of Knoxville. Through an unexpected turn of events, he was recruited to become an administrator for the University of Tennessee National Forensic Academy, an intensive ten-week training program for crime scene investigators. Nathan was one of the very early staff members that was able to “Get the program off the ground” and grow it into an internationally recognized standard for forensic training.
In 2012, Nathan started a Non-Profit organization called Forensic Training Source that continues to serve the law enforcement community throughout the US. Shortly after starting Forensic Training Source, he realized that he needed a “regular job” that got him out of the house on a daily basis to interact more directly with people, so he turned his hobby of Real Estate into an income source when he became a local Realtor. Nathan has found great success with Real Estate and has served the exact same areas that I will be serving with Mosquito Shield.
One of Nathan’s favorite local restaurants is Aubrey’s Restaurant. It has been a favorite of his since my freshman year of college when he discovered what was, at the time, their first and only location. Over the years, they have added many locations and each of them has proven to be a great place for business meetings and family meals. They were started by a local and Nathan’s observation has been that he has created a great culture within his restaurants for his employees and patrons.
Nathan also loves visiting Smoky Mountain National Park near Knoxville. When he has visitors from out of town or just need a place to unwind, there are few places better it. It’s a great way to “show off” the beauty of East Tennessee. Sometimes, when there isn’t time to drive to the mountains or the heat is too much, he likes to head to his other favorite place, the lake. While his boat is kept on Fort Loudon Lake, they have seven lakes within an hour’s drive and they are all stunningly beautiful!
When asked what attracted him to Mosquito Shield, “Two things attracted me to Mosquito Shield. The first one is the culture that I observed from my very first interactions with their leadership. From the very beginning, I had the sense that I was meeting with people that genuinely enjoyed working with each other and helping new franchise owners be successful. Secondly, I am THE GUY that is always being “eaten alive” when I am outside. While some other people don’t seem to be bothered by mosquitos, they absolutely LOVE me and make my life miserable outside. The idea of starting a new company with a proven track record of success that also gives me an opportunity to bite back and make life better outside for myself and others makes me happy. Initially, we hope to have a successful soft open mid-season this year. We have been told to expect 20-30 new customers. I want to exceed this expectation and possibly double that number.”

We use an insecticide so other insects present when and where we spray may be impacted.
However, our formula was specifically engineered for mosquitoes so it won’t repel any other insects as it does mosquitoes.
Every yard is different but you should notice a dramatic reduction within 24-48 hours of the initial spray.
With each subsequent treatment, the results continue to improve, allowing you to enjoy time outside without being chased in by swarms of mosquitoes.
