At Mosquito Shield of Knoxville, our goal is to provide the best mosquito control with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers and their families to enjoy their yards to the fullest.
The Knoxville Mosquito Shield team includes the owner, Nathan Lefebvre and Manager, Bill Robbins. Nathan has lived in the Knoxville area for over 30 years, while Bill was born and raised in the Knoxville area. They have already worked together to make Nathan’s other business, Forensic Training Source, an international success.
Nathan moved to the Knoxville area when he was 16 years old. Initially, he wanted nothing more than to return to his home state of Michigan. However, by the time he had received his Masters of Education from the University of Tennessee, he realized that East Tennessee had become home. Few places offer so many lakes within an hour’s drive or the most visited National Park in the United States. As an avid road-tripper, Nathan has found Knoxville to be the perfect home and starting point for all his adventures.
Nathan has always been drawn to work that involves serving people. When he first graduated, he spent three years as a fourth-grade teacher in a rural school district just outside of Knoxville. Through an unexpected turn of events, he was recruited to become an administrator for the University of Tennessee National Forensic Academy, an intensive ten-week training program for crime scene investigators. Nathan was one of the very early staff members that was able to “get the program off the ground” and grow it into an internationally recognized standard for forensic training.
In 2012, Nathan started a Non-Profit organization called Forensic Training Source that continues to serve the law enforcement community throughout the US. Shortly after starting Forensic Training Source, he realized that he needed a “regular job” that would get him out of the house on a daily basis to interact more directly with people, so he turned his hobby of Real Estate into a profession when he became a local Realtor®. Nathan has found great success with Real Estate and serves the exact same areas that he serves with Mosquito Shield.
When asked what attracted him to Mosquito Shield, he said, “Two things attracted me to Mosquito Shield: The first one is the culture that I observed from my very first interactions with Mosquito Shield leadership. From the beginning, I had the sense that I was meeting with people that genuinely enjoyed working with each other and helping new franchisees become successful. Secondly, I am THAT GUY that is always being “eaten alive” when I’m outside to the point of avoiding outdoor events. While some people don’t seem bothered by mosquitoes, they absolutely LOVE me and make my life miserable outside. The idea of owning a company with a proven track record of success that also gives me an opportunity to bite back and make outdoor life better for myself and others makes me happy.”

We use an insecticide so other insects present when and where we spray may be impacted.
However, our formula was specifically engineered for mosquitoes so it won’t repel any other insects as it does mosquitoes.
