Owners Sonny and Crystal Knox both grew up in the San Antonio area. San Antonio is a wonderful place to raise a family. It is an excellent tourist attraction as we have several historical landmarks, amusement parks, tremendous growth developmentally and economically. It is known to be the 7th largest city in America!
Mosquito Shield of Greater San Antonio is a family owned and operated business. Sonny & Crystal have been married for 7 years and they have 3 girls ‘ages; 18,6 and 4. They are a God-fearing family who is looking forward to servicing their community and providing more comfort to them as they enjoy their outdoor living, events and activities.
Sonny has 18 years of commercial construction experience. He started as a Laborer and excelled to a Project Executive. He is highly skilled in business operations, financial management and is known for being diligent and professional. His detail-oriented traits make him a perfectionist and he takes pride in his integrity and strong work ethics. Crystal is a residential realtor who has been servicing the San Antonio community and surrounding areas for the past 15 years. She takes pride in helping others achieve their real estate needs, from purchasing their dream home to capitalizing on their investments. She has acquired skills in negotiating, communication, and marketing. She also has a love for people and is dedicated to customer satisfaction.
Sonny & Crystal love authentic Mexican and their favorite location restaurant is El Chapparal. The restaurant is lively with Mariachis who provide entertainment and a playscape area which makes it fun for kids and enjoyable for families. They also love visiting The Historic Pearl of San Antonio and believe it is a wonderful way to spend the day. It has a variety of chef-led restaurants, weekend farmer markets, local vendors, and a park area with a splash pad. It is family and pet friendly.
When asked what attracted him to Mosquito Shield, “The initial attraction occurred due to the need we have for mosquito control in San Antonio. As a physically active family, we understand the annoyance of pests detouring life plans and events. We were in search for a new venture that we both believe in and would provide a better quality of life for others. Mosquito Shield has an excellent reputation, their services are effective, and the team is professional. The goal we have set for this coming year is to create pest free outdoor areas family and friends can spend their quality time and enjoy. Meanwhile, educating our community pertaining to potential diseases or viruses that can be caused by mosquito and ticks by providing a solution for them and their loved ones. We plan on focusing our effort on not only residential areas, but also to other locally family owned and operated restaurants, venues and businesses that are designed for outdoor entertaining.

We use an insecticide so other insects present when and where we spray may be impacted.
However, our formula was specifically engineered for mosquitoes so it won’t repel any other insects as it does mosquitoes.
Every yard is different but you should notice a dramatic reduction within 24-48 hours of the initial spray.
