All of our technicians are trained in environmentally smart practices. They target active mosquito areas and are taught the signs to recognize them.
This means less overall spraying, more dead mosquitoes, and a healthy ecosystem in your backyard.
If you’re not happy with our services, let us know. We’ll work hard to make it right, including offering a service call spray if needed.

Owners Dean and Lisa Matz are originally from Northeastern PA but have lived in the Freehold area for the past 23 years. Dean has been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and is currently the Group Vice President of Finance at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts — but he has always dreamed of owning his own business. Dean has a strong business sense and understands the true meaning of exceptional customer service that he looks forward to brining to the Mosquito Shield of Freehold business. Lisa has been a buyer for a major retail company, opened her own housewares store and has been on the development and sales side of the business for the past 18 years. Lisa will be facilitating and developing the marketing side of the mosquito and tick control business in Freehold, NJ.
Freehold, New Jersey is a melting pot of cultures with a vibrant downtown and the hometown of Bruce Springsteen. Two of the owners’ favorite places to eat are Tre and Federici’s Pizza. Tre has a very cool vibe with a great menu. Federici’s has been in business for over 100 years and makes awesome thin crust pizza.

We use an insecticide so other insects present when and where we spray may be impacted.
However, our formula was specifically engineered for mosquitoes so it won’t repel any other insects as it does mosquitoes.
Every yard is different but you should notice a dramatic reduction within 24-48 hours of the initial spray.
With each subsequent treatment, the results continue to improve, allowing you to enjoy time outside without being chased in by swarms of mosquitoes.
