Hi, we’re Jim and Nikki Visoky and we’re the owners of Mosquito Shield of North Milwaukee.
At Mosquito Shield of North Milwaukee, Wisconsin, our goal is to provide the best residential mosquito control services with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers to enjoy their yards, homes and time with family to the fullest.

Nikki and I have been married for over twelve years and have two sons, Ethan and Nolan. We currently live in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, just west of Milwaukee, with our adorable dog Dailey.
Nikki has been a long-time resident of the Greater Milwaukee area. She graduated Cum Laude from UW-Whitewater in 2001 and has lived and worked in the area ever since. She started her career as an account executive in marketing agencies and after a few years became a business owner when she started and operated the franchise Bark Busters.
I graduated from the University of Utah—Salt Lake City and quickly became a Regional Sales Director responsible for developing 22 new markets across the country.
After 11 years of working for someone else, I became an entrepreneur myself and started ClearPay Financial Solutions. It’s an independent sales organization dedicated to helping businesses of all sizes customize their payment solutions to fit their business needs.
When I’m not working, I love spending my spare time on home improvement projects, even when projects are not at my home. I’m frequently found helping friends, family, and neighbors with their projects or lending out my large assortment of tools so they can help themselves.
Nikki appreciates all the benefits of my handiwork and enjoys making decisions on the décor and finishes for some of my home improvement projects. Nikki’s creative outlet is baking and decorating beautiful cakes. She has made cakes for her boys’ birthday every year since they were born. More recently she had the opportunity to make a wedding cake for a friend and birthday cakes for her nieces and nephew.
Currently, we still run ClearPay Financial Solutions with me at the helm and Nikki supporting the business by handling all the accounting and human resource functions.
After years of developing our team at ClearPay, we’re excited about developing a new business opportunity with our mosquito and tick control services in the North Milwaukee location. We came to realize that we had all the right employees at ClearPay in all the right positions, which allowed us to have more bandwidth to open Mosquito Shield.
Soon it became clear that we wanted to build a business together this time. Nikki already had gone through the franchise discovery process before with a franchise consultant, Melissa Lewis, from FranChoice, so she reached out to Melissa again.
We started the discovery process together with Melissa. In which, we determined all the parameters what an ideal business would look like for us. Based on the specific parameters we identified, Melissa presented three different franchise concepts.
We quickly weeded out the other two options that were not the best fit for us. As they say, the rest is history, as soon as we jumped into the validation process of Mosquito Shield, we never looked back.
When we were originally asked what attracted us to Mosquito Shield, the answer was easy: “We are deeply devoted to our community. A passion of mind and Nikki’s is building something new from the ground up. Whatever it may be, we love nurturing it, learning from it, and watching it grow. Independently we have each started our own businesses for that very reason.
Prior to starting ClearPay, I had 12 years in training and development where I traveled around the country starting a new sales team office from the ground up. I was responsible for the training and development of all the sales representatives.
My background is key to our Mosquito Shield business. My expertise of inspiring development and training is critical for our highly trained and licensed technicians.
Nikki’s work in public relations and marketing before starting Bark Busters Home Dog Training, helps her to navigate promoting the Mosquito Shield business.
Together, we have attended all of Mosquito Shield’s trainings for new owners and technicians. Since joining the Mosquito Shield team, we’ve also both been commercially licensed to be applicators in the state of Wisconsin.
Mosquito Shield focuses on the efficiency of the applications to minimize the amount of time spent on each property. A large part of that efficiency is the van’s buildout with 100-gallon tank for product and a quick-filling pump system. All for quick and easy applications that allow more applications per van and tech per day. Good for the bottom line and no hassle for the customer.
Another inspiring factor in Mosquito Shield is the thorough knowledge of mosquito biology and how that dictates the frequency of our treatments.
Most people don’t know this, but mosquitoes can go from egg to adult in 10 days under the right weather conditions. That’s why we schedule our customers’ treatments according to the weather and mosquito population.
Mosquito Shield is the only service designed to react to the fluctuations in the weather and mosquito population. This helps us stay ahead of the problem so we can provide our customers with better results no other company can promise.
