Last year was the first year we tried Mosquito Shield, and it literally changed our lives. I know that sounds dramatic, but it WORKS. We live in an exceptionally mosquito infested area with a dark, damp backyard, a stream behind our yard, and lots of standing water in neighboring yards. I literally couldn’t go outside between the months of April and October and was miserable. I’m one of those people who attract mosquitoes and am also somewhat allergic to their bites. When we had our son, I couldn’t take him out much because we would both get attacked. Last summer was the first time I was ever able to sit out on the deck and play in the yard and not get ANY mosquito bites! Since those tiger striped ones came to NJ, it’s been much more difficult but not anymore. Their service is worth literally every penny. I always received an email stating when they would come so I could close the windows. I have seen the technician work and he is very thorough and takes his time. If you have any doubts, go for it. If I can survive the summer outside now, then ANYONE can.

We’ve used them for a couple of years now for Mosquito and Tick control. We used to have another firm cover ticks but we got a better deal combining the two treatments through Mosquito Shield. With all the deers in our town, we felt it safer to do both. They respond quickly and always give us an email heads-up before and after their service. They also let us know if an appointment has to be rescheduled (due to weather) and will send someone out again if we feel it was not as effective. Are there zero mosquitos? I don’t think that is possible unless all your neighbors are getting treated but we feel safer that there are fewer around. In general, it feels like its been less of a problem since we got the treatment and I would recommend them.
