Hi, my name is Nathan Grundy and I’m the owner of Mosquito Shield of Appleton and the Fox Valley.
At Mosquito Shield of Appleton and the Fox Valley, Wisconsin, our goal is to provide the best residential mosquito control service with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers to enjoy their yards, homes and time with family to the fullest.
My mission is for Mosquito Shield of Appleton and the Fox Valley to be the top mosquito protection business in the Fox Valley by providing superior results and the best customer service.
We provide more sprays, better results, at a better value by developing the most proficient technicians that will use the superior Mosquito Shield procedures and products.
We will get to know every customer and treat them as part of the Mosquito Shield Family.
I have a strong connection to the Fox Valley and Appleton region, having grown up here and graduated from Oshkosh West High School.
My family and I hold a deep affection for our community and enjoy welcoming friends and family to our yard and volunteering in our community. We spent several days with my Mosquito Shield crew filling sandbags for the recent flood victims.
During the summer, you’ll often find us out boating and fishing on Lake Winnebago and other lakes. My Wife, Nadine, is an English as a Second Language Teacher at our Middle School. A perfect role for her as her native language is German and she is proficient in English and Spanish. My Son Logan is a competitive swimmer and athlete. He loves to play football and serves as the field goal kicker on the High School football team. He aspires to attend the Air Force Academy. My Daughter, Leah is a Nationally ranked barrel racer (racing horses around barrels in the rodeo) and wrestles on the High School girls wrestling team and is interested in Law Enforcement.
My journey of community service started during my junior year of high school when I enlisted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard in Oshkosh. Following that, I joined the Active-Duty Army, dedicating 26 years of service before returning home to the Fox Valley alongside my family. When I was asked about my decision to venture into a franchise opportunity focused on mosquito, tick and pest control with Mosquito Shield, I confidently responded, “as I concluded my career in the Army, I was certain that I wanted to become a business owner. Mosquito Shield presented me with the chance to contribute to my community by creating mosquito-free outdoor havens for families and friends to enjoy.”
Now, I get to protect my community so they can enjoy their yards with their family and friends.

As a former Federal Law Enforcement Officer in the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division, I possess a high ethical standard, an attribute that directly correlates to how I run my business. Drawing from my years of experience in the Army, including team building, mission planning, operational management, and networking, I am poised to establish a finely tuned team of motivated technicians who prioritize attention to detail and take pride in their service.

Hi, I’m Kyle Lund, and this is my second season as a technician with Mosquito Shield. I live in Hortonville, WI. I’m proud to serve the area and help families enjoy their outdoor spaces without constantly worrying about mosquitoes and ticks.
Hi, I’m Paul Christian, and this is my second season as a technician with Mosquito Shield. I’m originally from Waupaca, Wisconsin, and I got into this work because I enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and taking on a job where you can see the results right away. The mix of independence, problem‑solving, and helping homeowners take control of their yards is what keeps me in this industry — it’s work that actually feels worthwhile.
When I’m not treating properties, I’m coaching football for New London or coaching basketball in Waupaca, working with both high school and youth boys’ teams. I also enjoy spending time with friends and my girlfriend, Brooke. Coaching, staying active, and being involved in the community all line up with who I am — I like showing up, putting in the effort, and making an impact.
Whether it’s on the field or in the backyard, I’m all about helping homeowners get more out of their outdoor space — and I’m always ready for the next yard that needs a win.
