Summer 2021 is in full swing, and what a difference a year makes! We’ve gone from lockdowns to regaining freedoms we haven’t had in over fourteen months. And we’re flocking back to restaurants and bars, and ball games and concerts and amusement parks. We’ve re-discovered that we like being with other people again! And, eventually, we’ll even flock back to our offices!
And this different-feeling summer has been an odd season for mosquitoes too. Unseasonably dry weather in parts of the country led to our little biting friends arriving on the scene quite a bit later in some areas this summer than they did last summer. They laid low waiting for rain and heat, and sure enough, they have now arrived just about everywhere!
And Mosquito Shield is still here to help you ensure that your yard is enjoyable now that they are here. We like to say, “Life is Better Outside”, and we mean it. We all should be able to enjoy our yards and make special memories with family and friends. Even if you aren’t spending as much time in your yard this summer as you did during lockdown, you’re still going to want to unwind and relax after all that new running around you’re doing! And, you can have friends and family over for celebrations, parties, and barbeques again! Don’t let mosquitoes drive those times indoors.
One of the things we are careful to do is ensure that our pricing is fair and always reflects only the number of treatments left in the season. So, in a late season like this one, if you have us treat your yard, your price is determined on the part of the season that remains, not a complete season. And of course, you’ll still get all the things that make Mosquito Shield the best choice when it comes to mosquito control — our Tailored Treatment System, where we adjust how often we treat your yard and even the products we use based on the weather conditions and mosquito population uniquely in your yard. So, if you were thinking “well the mosquitoes came out so late this year, I’ll just do without prevention service because I don’t want to pay for a full season,” you can think again, because you won’t!
Later in the summer is typically when we also start to hear about all the diseases those little biters spread as well, like Zika and West Nile viruses and Eastern equine encephalitis.
And don’t forget, if you’re in an area that is prone to tick outbreaks, that typically spikes again in the late summer and early fall.
So, it’s never too late to protect your yard and ensure that the special times still yet to come this summer, are as enjoyable as possible. Give Mosquito Shield a call today 800-908-7076 or go online to www.moshield.com. Happy Summering!
