Hi, we’re Shawn and Kimberly Bone and we’re the owners of Mosquito Shield of Dayton.
We have lived around Dayton, Ohio for our entire lives. We have been married for 22 years and have 3 beautiful adult children and 1 granddaughter. Our enjoyment is spending time at our houseboat located on Dale Hollow Lake, Tennessee with our family and friends. Shawn enjoys driving and customizing his classic cars on the weekends.
Dayton, Ohio is the birthplace of aviation and houses one of the United States largest Air Force Bases (Wright Patterson Air Force Base). We’ve loved everything about being a part of this community except for the mosquitoes. Now, we’re excited to give back and solve a community-wide problem!
I have owned a very successful US Lawns (franchise) lawn care maintenance company for 22 years. In 2010, I was inducted into the US Lawns Hall of Fame. Since then, I’ve continued to grow the business with my key employees.
Kimberly works for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier and has also been heavily involved with the lawn care business. With our experience in the service industry over the years, we plan on using the knowledge and hands on customer service to our advantage. We’ll be taking the Mosquito Shield of Dayton customers’ experience to the next level.
It is our goal to allow our customers to be able to spend more time with their families in their backyards again. With Mosquito Shield’s Mosquito and Tick Proprietary Blend (MTPB), that is possible. Formulated by Mosquito Shield itself and tested with over 20 years of lawns, we’re the only company that can offer this level of service.
We were attracted to the Mosquito Shield brand by the fact that we personally weren’t able to spend time in our own backyard because the mosquitoes would eat us alive at night. Having just built our brand new forever home, we are wanting to enjoy our outdoor activities again.
After talking with Michael Moorhouse and TJ Kissane, we realized the MoShield brand was an excellent fit for us and our community. Their brand is proven, effective, and affordable, and we’ll never stray from those values.
Our goals as a new franchise are to become the top Rookie of the Year Location and grow a successful new business. We want to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations and become the most recognized mosquito control company in our area.
