Owner Leslie McGee brings over 30 years of experience living and working in the community, along with a long history of service on the Los Angeles City Neighborhood Council in the Foothill Trails area. With deep roots in the region and a strong dedication to her neighbors, Leslie is proud to help families enjoy their outdoor spaces with confidence and comfort.
After retiring from a 28-year career in education, including nine years in administration, Leslie saw a growing need for reliable mosquito control in her community, something local exterminators weren’t offering. Inspired to make a difference, she opened Mosquito Shield of Santa Clarita to combine her love of the outdoors with her passion for serving others. She is especially excited to offer both natural and traditional treatment options, and tailoring services to her customers’ needs.
A long-time local, Leslie understands what makes her community unique, from its ranches and horse properties to the surrounding mountains and trails. She enjoys daily walks at Hansen Dam, a hidden gem with a lake, playground, horseback riding, and festivals. When it comes to dining, she loves El Tarasco, a Mexican restaurant known for great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere where locals gather.
