Meet The Mosquito Shield of Southeast Houston Franchise

At Mosquito Shield of Southeast Houston, our goal is to provide the best mosquito control with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers to enjoy their homes and time with family to the fullest.

Owners Tim & Shannon Galvez strive to bring a level of integrity to everything that they do. They have four wonderful children, three boys and one girl, as well as three crazy dogs and a cat so their household is anything but boring! They love being outdoors, fishing and hunting, and working on their land in Santa Fe. Eventually they would like to slow down enough to have time for things that they want to do such as rebuilding their 1951 Ford F1 Series and camping with their kids.

Shannon was born and raised in Texas and has been living in the Houston area for the past seventeen years. Tim has been living in the Houston area for the past twenty years and loving every minute of it! Tim and Shannon both love the small town feeling that the Santa Fe area provides and the sense of community love that their neighbors put forth. Whenever someone needs help, everyone rushes to their aid without a thought for themselves or expecting anything in return. Every Texan is undeniably proud to be a Texan and that pride bonds them all together regardless of their backgrounds. They wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Tim and Shannon both have a background in construction, Tim worked as an HVAC Technician for the past thirteen years and Shannon has worked as a Project Manager and Financial Manager for the past seven years. Before that she was the Property and Leasing Manager for a local mall, so she is more than familiar with managing employees and leading project crews. Because they have both been the “boots on the ground” as well as the supervisor/manager, they are in a unique position to be able to see situations from multiple viewpoints and empathize with their employees. They are very familiar with the mosquito problem in their area and understand the need for the service that Mosquito Shield provides. Tim & Shannon know that their customers have many options when it comes to mosquito control, so you will receive nothing but the best from them in appreciation for putting your trust in their company.

One of their favorite local restaurants is Kat’s Barbecue in Santa Fe, it’s so good that they are usually sold out of food by two PM every day! Not only is the food AMAZING but the owners are equally amazing and are pillars of the community. Whenever someone is in need, whether it be from illness or a natural disaster, they put together potlucks and fundraisers to collect money for the affected, most of the time while paying for the food provided without being reimbursed. They also love that there are so many local places to visit, but their favorite hangout is Three Acres Food Truck Park in Santa Fe because the food is delicious, and the activities always provide a good time. They also love going to NASA Space Center and Moody Gardens, they provide both an educational experience as well as a good time. Kemah Boardwalk is always a great time, there is no shortage of rides and games to play, and Galveston Beach is always a family favorite.

When asked what attracted them to Mosquito Shield they said, “We were originally attracted to what most everyone is attracted to, the ability to be our own bosses, but once we learned more about the franchise we were excited by the product itself and the service that it could provide for our neighbors and the surrounding area. The communication between the franchisees and MoShield corporate is a huge plus and the reviews from our fellow franchisees were all very positive, so it helped to put our minds at ease.
