Our Guaranteed Protection Plan kills mosquitoes and begins the critical process of establishing a protective barrier on your property. Our proprietary Mosquito Protection Blend™ is applied around all active areas such as decks, patios, pools, swing sets, etc. We actively monitor mosquito populations and weather patterns and return to your property approximately every two weeks. Our proprietary Rain Shield™ is added for improved protection during wet weather conditions which allows the barrier to remain in effect. The protective barrier (assuming no applications are skipped), gets stronger as the season progresses.
Our Flea & Tick program is based on the same tireless work and effective science behind our mosquito control protection plan. This intensive Flea & Tick program was developed specifically to eliminate them within your property.

Our Flea & Tick program is based on the same tireless work and effective science behind our mosquito control protection plan. This intensive Flea & Tick program was developed specifically to eliminate them within your property. In a process similar to that described for Mosquito Shield, our flea and tick formula is applied to all turf, wood lines, and landscape beds around your property to effectively kill fleas & ticks within those areas.

How Mosquito Shield Works
Meet The Franchise
At Mosquito Shield of Wilmington, North Carolina, our goal is to provide the best mosquito control with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers to enjoy their homes and time with family to the fullest.
The Wilmington location is owned by two couples; Richard and Candy Phillips and Rich and Jenny Zielinski.
The Phillips’ were born and raised in North Carolina and have lived in the Wilmington area since 2007. Richard has degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering and has worked for 26 years in the engineering field. After years of clinical trial project management and raising three kids, Candy, as co- owner with her business partners, opened a Restoration 1 franchise. Richard and Candy love the coastal area and being outdoors on the beach and in the state parks. They especially enjoy the Carolina Beach State Park and Fort Fisher State Recreation Area which offer lots of outdoor activities like hiking and camping.
The Zielinskis moved to the Wilmington area in 2011 when Rich, a respected veterinarian, opened a veterinary hospital with his business partner. The couple chose Wilmington for its great weather, proximity to beaches, cultural and historical offerings, and great schools for their two children. Jenny is a gardener and if the family isn’t in the yard they can usually be found on a soccer field or at a swim meet. Almost always outside, Jenny became frustrated at reapplying mosquito repellent throughout the day only to find itchy welts at the end of the day.
The team says, “With the abundant mosquitos in this coastal area, it is hard to enjoy being out in your yard. We love being outdoors with our daughters and taking walks. After discovering and researching Mosquito Shield, we were convinced that we could offer an effective and safer service as well as provide great customer service to our territory. We are committed to meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations and becoming the most trusted and recognized solution for mosquito and tick control in the area.
