Meet The Franchise

At Mosquito Shield of Rochester, our goal is to provide the best mosquito control with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers to enjoy their homes and time with family to the fullest.

Owners Jeremy and Liv Morgante are a husband-and-wife team in Rochester, NY. They’ve been a happily married blended family for 12 years and proud parents to 4 kids from 22 to 8 (ok so 2 adults and 2 kids).  They love traveling as a family and exploring different parts of the country.  Like many others, they took on some modest pandemic projects such as an entire first floor + kitchen remodel as well as a bathroom remodel.  They are very thankful to have kept their day jobs during the pandemic as well, while starting this business so Liv can lose her day job (thanks Moshield!)

Jeremy & Liv were both raised in Rochester and went to the same high school, though were married over 10 years later. They live in Irondequoit, a suburb of Rochester and love the area (GO Eagles!)  After all their travel, they are always glad to return home.  “Rochester is a great mid-sized city with excellent schools, great restaurants, and a lot of fun stuff do without the traffic, tourists, crowds and natural disasters.  We’ll take blizzards all day.”

One of their favorite local restaurants is Monte Alban because, tacos.  According to them, it’s the best Mexican in town and is dangerously close to their home.  They would prefer not to disclose how many tacos they’ve eaten.  In the summer, they live at the baseball fields with their two youngest sons, fitting that between time with their oldest son, girlfriend and their fur baby while soaking up the days before their daughter heads to SCAD for college.  They also host weekly dinner parties alongside a full extended family calendar.

With a 20-year dental assistant career at a high-end practice, Liv has developed an expertise in customer relationships and a high standard for excellence. Jeremy has a similar tenure of 21 years in advertising, where he currently oversees business strategy and product management.  Liv’s experience in customer care will shine as she will be the face of the business and Jeremy’s experience in strategy and intrapreneurship will provide a solid foundation to grow upon.

When asked what attracted them to Mosquito Shield, they responded:

“Liv is perhaps the most desirable human among the mosquito community anyone has ever known. She’s been bitten more times than tacos we’ve eaten and that’s a lot.

Franchising had run through the back of our heads for several couple years.  A franchise recruiter reached out at the perfect time and introduced several opportunities, of which Mosquito Shield was the clear winner.  We were first impressed with the customer retention rate; happy customers was all the proof we needed.  Diving under the hood with Mosquito Shield teams cemented our confidence.  It truly is an excellent product and a wonderful team.

As a family who loves spending time outside at home, we are customers ourselves! Before Mosquito Shield, like clockwork, when the sun would start to set, we’d have to flee our yard and escape the incoming barrage of blood suckers. Now we have our yard back.  Ticks have also been a huge problem in our area recently and we look forward to being part of the solution in keeping families (including fur babies!) safe.
