At Mosquito Shield of North Central Maryland, we aim to help our fellow community members maximize their enjoyment of the summer months by providing the opportunity for families to utilize their outdoor space more through effective mosquito and tick control services. Our goal is to provide the best residential mosquito control service in North Central Maryland, with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers to enjoy their yards, homes and time with family to the fullest.

Owners Dennis and Susan Shaffer grew up in the Baltimore area and lived in the Harford County area for the past approximately 15 years. Our North Central Mosquito and tick control service territory includes a diverse set of neighborhoods from rural to suburban to small towns, each with a unique character.

Dennis is an attorney with over twenty years of experience representing companies of various sizes in litigation and restructuring matters. His experience also includes representing both franchisors and franchisees. Susan handles the day-to-day management of their real estate businesses with numerous rental properties. Both owners have worked in the hospitality industry in the past and believe that this business experience, as well as personal experience, will provide a strong foundation in understanding how to run a successful mosquito control business in North Central Maryland, including the key component of providing exemplary service for customers.

Some favorite local spots are Liberatore’s Ristorante of Bel Air where they have known the owner for many years and feel like a part of the family when they enjoy an Italian meal. They also enjoy Ladew Gardens is a local topiary garden with incredible foliage, landscaping and a butterfly garden.
